Storage and Environmental Monitoring
Simplab Storage Management
Build the right structure for your storage location.
Monitoring the environment is a means of assessing environmental conditions and trends, informing policy development and implementation.
Storage Location

Go to Simplab Home Page.

Click on the Storage tab.

You can create a new storage location.

You can also choose an existing storage location from the list.

Filter the locations that will be presented in the list view.
Creating New Storage Location

Fill in the mandatory fields.

Define the layout of the storage location. How many columns and rows it will contain.
Storing Material Units/Samples
Now let’s store a material unit.

Click on the right arrow and open the storage location.

Now you can see the layout of the storage location.
Choose the position of the object that you want to store.You can store Material Units, Samples, Company Assets and even define a Location Hierarchy (e.g. Room-> Shelf).
Define the Storage Hierarchy

Click on the right arrow and open the storage location.

Click on the Show Tree button. The hierarchy tree will open.
Environmental Monitoring
A. Defining a Test
The first step is to define a test for each location that will be tested in the environmental monitoring.
For more information of how to create a test go to template-

Click on the right arrow and open the storage location.

Click on the Link Test button. Link the test to the location.
B. Creating an Environmental Monitoring Record

Go to Simplab Home Page.

Click on the Environmental Monitoring tab.

Create new Environmental Monitoring.

Fill in the mandatory fields and and schedule the experiment date.
C. Book a Resource
Book the resource that you want to check during the environmental monitoring experiment.
You can book a Material/Sample/Equipment/User/Location.
*Book the resource that you linked the test to in step A.
D. Execute Test

In order to see the test that was linked to the resource, click on the refresh button on the layout or refresh the browser.

Click on the linked template arrow (or add a test).
