Templates

Simploud templates are designed to generate E-forms quickly and efficiently. They act as blueprints, ensuring a consistent format that includes all necessary fields and simplifying data collection and organization.

Examples of Template Uses

Design detailed checklists for quality control, safety inspections, or project management tasks. For example, a template can ensure that all safety inspection steps are followed and documented systematically.
Create comprehensive surveys for customer feedback, employee satisfaction, or market research. For instance, a customer satisfaction survey template can help standardize questions and simplify data analysis.
Decision trees can guide users through complex decision-making processes. For example, a decision tree template can help troubleshoot technical issues by leading users through a series of conditional questions based on their responses.
Use scorecards for performance evaluations, assessments, or compliance checks. For instance, a performance evaluation template can provide a structured way to rate and review employee performance.

Template Types

Collection of questions without specific sequential logic
Questions can be answered in any order
No checkpoints; all questions are presented as is
No routing; all questions are static
Simple, easy to create and use, no complex logic required
Best for straightforward data collection
Set of questions following a specific logic
Each question leads to the next one
Allows selection of different paths based on responses
Multiple routes from the first question to different results
Provides dynamic navigation, tailored responses based on input
Best for scenarios needing decision trees or guided processes

Template Configuration

Just like any other object in Simploud, creating a new template creates a new record in the system, which is managed via a short workflow.
The template’s record page contains 2 sections: Template settings and Template Questions.

Template Settings

This section allows you to configure key settings for templates in Simploud, including storing templates in a global library, setting the number of questions per page, enabling external tasks, and adding detailed descriptions for clarity and ease of use.
For example:
Template Definitions
This section allows you to control who can access and edit the form and what information is displayed. These settings help manage access and tailor the form’s display to meet specific requirements.
For example:
Form Access and Visible Parts
The ‘Progress and Results’ section defines how progress and outcomes are tracked and recorded in the form, ensuring accurate documentation. These settings include fields for tracking progress, capturing signatures, recording text results, specifying outcome questions, and defining result logic.
For example:
Progress and Result
The ‘Template Logic’ section allows you to configure various rules and conditions that govern the form’s behavior and requirements. These settings ensure that forms are completed and signed correctly, apply specific conditions, and automate form creation based on defined criteria.
For example, you can:
Template Logic
The ‘Form Scores’ section allows you to quickly turn on or off the scoring feature for forms. When enabled, this setting empowers you to capture and calculate scores based on the responses provided in the form.
For example:
Form Score
The ‘Color-Logic’ section allows color coding for forms based on specific text results or scores. By setting different color zones, such as green, yellow, and red, you can visually indicate the status or category of responses.
For example:
